Our History

MRI Unit ( Institute Of Child Health ) is situated inside ICH premises, near Park Circus Seven Point, Kolkata. Considering the latest trend, 3T MRI is one of the most important imaging modality in medical diagnostic. We are providing quality MRI scan services since January,2006. At the beginning, we started our MRI service with a permanent magnet. And therefore, we upgraded our machine to a 1.5T Super-Con one.

Now, MRI Unit ( ICH ) introduces the latest generation ultramodern 3T MRI in Kolkata. Magnetom Lumina 3T MRI system from SIEMENS is operational since October,2019 (1st time in India). Our Strength

Though we are inside ICH premises, still we do a huge numbers of Adult scan as well. Both Children & Adult MRI are done with equal care & competence. We are doing a Good number of Pediatric studies every day (almost 50% of the total cases). Additionally, all MR compatible gadgets like Pulse Oximeter, Boyle’s Apparatus etc. are installed here for best patient care. Doctors, trained with pediatric patients, are handling the children. Even, all Sedation & anesthesia are done by experts only. Moreover, our onsite expert Radiologist supervises all studies.
